Furniture that makes cleaning easier
and saves space!
The simple, modern design of this desk makes housekeeping
less of a chore. There are no dust collecting handles or
unnecessary decoration that take up extra cleaning time.
This piece also serves a dual purpose: it can be used as a
desk or, by simply adding on a mirror component
(also designed by Kuypers), it can be used as a vanity table.
Is it from Finland?
Scandinavian style influenced many designers of the 1950s. This is
obvious in Kuypers' works named after cities. Kuypers desk was only
one part of his Helsinki furniture series. The collection also included
buffets, cabinets and shelves.
The furniture was so popular that Kuypers went on to design two more
furniture collections: Oslo and Stockholm |
