Sunridge/Geese in Flight

Bringing nature indoors!

Thor Hansen looked back to the art of the 1920s for inspiration for his fabric design. He looked at paintings by the Group of Seven that represented Canadian landscape scenes and transformed those familiar images from nature into a repetitive pattern.

Hansen designed this curtain fabric for the building interiors of his long-time employer, the British American Oil Company in Toronto. The fabric became one of a series of fabrics designed by Hansen based on Canadian flora and fauna.
