Project G Stereo
Bachelor Pad Cool

The Project G was a movie star. Appearances in such films such as The Graduate, with Dustin Hoffman, and A Fine Madness, with Sean Connery, secured its position as a stylish icon of the 1960s. Despite an endorsement from Frank Sinatra himself (‹Listen to Sinatra on Project G; Sinatra does), the stereo sold fewer than a thousand units.

Space Age Sound

Setting the trend for Sound-in the-Round hi-fi listening, the globe (hence the "G") speakers were located outside the stereo cabinet and introduced a dramatic change from traditionally designed stereos. The use of Space-Age transistors over tubes allowed the cabinet to be finished on all sides without the need for ventilation ducts. The stereo's Pop design won a silver medal at the 1964 Milan Triennale, the international design industry's most prestigious exhibition
