Ball B-B-Q
Ball of fire

This bright orange barbeque looks like something you might find in an old Martian movie.
Imagine friends and family (in bellbottoms and tie-dyed t-shirts) gathered around its dome-topped cover waiting for juicy steaks and hamburgers. Friends and neighbours were sure to notice if you owned one these barbeques! In fact, the Ball-B-B-Q gained significant recognition by winning a Design Canada award!

What's it called?

Playfully dubbed the Ball B-B-Q, it was the first of its kind built with a double stack of cooking racks and an integrated cover that rolled smoothly using two black wooden sphere handles. Its unusual construction was created by William Wiggins for Shepherd Products in Toronto. The lid is made solely of spun aluminum and the aluminum body is painted bright orange.
