Life Long Electric Kettle
A kettle for life

The Life Long electric kettle was an innovative product for its time. Created by industrial designers Jerry Adamson and Ian Norton for Proctor-Silex of Picton Ontario, the kettle was designed to last a lifetime. Unlike chrome dome kettles, the Long Life kettle incorporated stainless steel and polyethylene into a unique flattop design.

Something old or something new?

The idea of recycling began with the concept that parts of the kettle could be replaced for life if required. Unfortunately, the general public did not catch on to the look and concept of a life long kettle, so it enjoyed little success on the market.
