Brothers who work together
Aldo and Francesco Piccaluga were not only brothers, but talented
architects, who worked together to produce stylish interiors based
on 1960s European modernism.
They set up their first studio in Beirut, Lebanon where they designed
offices for the Moscow Narodny Bank and Crédit Lyonnais Française.
At the mall
Attracted by the stimulating design atmosphere generated by
Expo '67 in Montreal the brothers moved to Toronto to set up
their
own private studio. In Canada they produced this elegant table to
be part of their System Sigma Series. The
spun steel table manufactured by their company Synthesis was innovative
for its use of powder coating.
Approximately one thousand System Sigma Series tables were distributed
to many malls in both Canada and the United States. |
