L'Attache Carrying Case

More chic than he thought

L'Attache plastic briefcase was initially sold through bargain retailers for just $14. The sales of the case were not spectacular so Dallaire began marketing it to higher-end stores and, in 1986, landed a large order of 500 units for the Museum of Modern Art in New York. From then on, the case became a hot item within the design community.

All shapes and sizes

Still in production today and manufactured by Plasticase since 1997, L'Attache is made from two polypropylene shells that are assembled face-to-face. A complete line has been developed based on the briefcase, including a lunchbox and a suitcase, and is now available in a wide variety of colours. To date, more than four million L'Attache briefcases have been sold.
