Sculpted Armchair

Stylish Woodwork

The Sculpted armchair was inspired by the curvy shapes of the Art Nouveau style and the traditionalist furniture movement of the 1980s. Thomas Lamb cited the work of Spanish Art Nouveau architect Antonio Gaudi as inspiration for the chair's carved solid wood frame.

Not your average office chair

In 1982, Lamb began an eight-year term at Nienkamper, a Toronto-based upscale office furniture manufacturer. Like many designers before him, Lamb considered the chair as a means of expression and considered designs that paid attention to function and form. He designed the elegantly sculptured armchair to be used as a conference chair or as an occasional chair.
